Behavior Management Training For Parents
Practical, skills-based guidance for parents of children with brain-related or brain-impacting conditions who are experiencing behavior problems
Who it is for
Parents of children (approximately age 5-12) who:
- Have a history of brain injury, brain tumor, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, congenital heart disease, premature birth, or other neurologic or brain-impacting conditions
- Experience frequent emotional outbursts, noncompliance, inattention, or disruptive behavior at home
- Want guidance on how to approach behavior in a way that aligns with their child’s medical and developmental profile
- Are looking for structured support in adapting parenting strategies to their child’s strengths and vulnerabilities
What This Program Offers
Behavior Management Training is provided in parent-only sessions that teach practical strategies individualized to each family’s goals – and to each child’s specific medical and developmental profile.
Children with brain-related or brain-impacting conditions may behave in ways that feel intense, inconsistent, or hard to understand. This program helps parents better understand those patterns and develop clear, practical strategies that align with how their child learns and regulates.
Together, we'll work on:
- Understanding how your child’s medical history may be influencing behavior
- Increasing positive parent–child interaction and communication
- Learning the foundations of behavior management and how to apply them at home
- Creating consistent routines that better support regulation
Appointments are available in person or via telehealth.
